MASN FAQ

Q: What is MASN?

A: The Mid-Atlantic Sports Network (MASN) is a regional sports network owned by the Baltimore Orioles and Washington Nationals that provides fans with unmatched access to both teams and to local sports programming.

MASN carries over 161 Orioles games and over 161 Nationals games live every season and over 200 games in high definition, as well as insight and analysis in pre-game and post-game shows.

MASN has the biggest package of NCAA men's basketball available anywhere - over 200 games every season. MASN features the best of the Big East, CAA and other top conferences

MASN is also the Official Cable Sports Network of the Baltimore Ravens, carrying NFL programming - in primetime - throughout the fall.

Q: How can MASN televise both the Orioles and Nationals games when the teams are playing at the same time?

A: MASN televises 320 Nationals and Orioles games, including over 200 games in high definition. When both teams are playing simultaneously, a second MASN channel (MASN 2) carries the other game. The Nationals and Orioles will alternate between MASN and MASN2 all season long.  All of the high definition broadcasts are available on MASN HD.

Q: Why can't I watch MASN in my area?

A: Time Warner Cable and Suddenlink are blacking out MASN, by refusing to carry the network and denying thousands of hours of sports programming to millions of North Carolina sports fans.

Q: Is anyone in my area carrying MASN?

A: Yes -- over twenty-three fan friendly satellite providers DirecTV and DISH Network are carrying MASN and all the local sports that MASN provides.

Q: What can I do to convince my cable company to end its blackout of MASN?

A: You can use the tools available on the playballnow.org/takeaction page to tell your cable company, your local elected officials, the FCC, and your local media that you want sports on MASN! Your cable company - as well as our elected leaders - need to hear from their customers and constituents that we want sports!
